PPAG Updates: New Features for Spring

Written Apr 18, 2019 by Reed Lawrence

We believe in delivering quality content and practical features to our customers. However, with new features being developed constantly it's easy to miss some or not understand all of the features! With this post and posts like these, we aim to give a brief rundown of the functionality we are continuously delivering to you, our customers.

Over the offseason we gathered a lot of awesome feedback and requests from our users. With spring right around the corner we pushed to deliver on these features and requests before the planting season begins.

Let's jump right to it!

Farm Sharing

Easier management of farm data

Some of our users have agronomists that aren't tied to a single grower, or they are agronomy locations that share Pro Power Ag with their growers. Farm sharing gives you the ability to share all spray records and historical data with your grower or any other agronomists at your location.

Efficient distribution, versatile uses

With farm sharing, everybody at your location can have access to everybody else's growers and farm records. As a result, everybody is on the same page at all times by creating a network of grower data within your location. Easily accessible from any phone, computer, or device.

Selective sharing

You don't want to share a farm? No problem! Pro Power Ag is designed with the user in mind, and your security is our top priority. Farm sharing is disabled by default, and you have the ability to opt-in to share each farm or only share individual farms to specific users.

Generic Herbicide Creator

All of your products in one place

At Pro Power Ag we collect herbicide performance data on name-brand herbicides. However, to allow you to customize our program to fit your every need, we allow you to create custom generic herbicides based on our name-brand chemicals.

Creating generics is simple:

  1. Select a "Parent" chemical - the herbicide that the generic will pull all of it's baseline features from
  2. Name your new herbicide
  3. Fill in the details - active ingredients, rate, price, relative performance, etc.

Full integration

As soon as you create your generic herbicide, it will be fully integrated into the application's data tools, field tracking, recommendation features, and pricesheets just as any other chemical that ships with the software.

Weed Resistances

Local performance

The data we gather is based on wide-scale application and does not account for weed resistances in your area by default. With this feature, you have the ability to adjust your chemicals to local weed resistances.

This feature allows you to leverage your own experience and local knowledge to get the most accurate picture of weed control for your fields.

Crop-centric data tools

Simple, fast, intuituve decision-making

Similar to how our Chemical Blade and Weed Blade allow you to select specific chemicals, active ingredients, or weeds and display all relevant herbicide performance data. With the Crop Blade you can select your crop, stage, and weeds, and our software will output a chart and comparison tools to help you make the best decisions for your fields.
