There are multitudes of reasons for applying varied applications of herbicides to control weeds in your fields. In good agronomy practice, you will use different modes/sites of action to ensure weeds don't build a resistance. However, in other cases you might have to find new chemical options due to legislation like the recent Dicamba rulings.
With so many herbicides to choose from, finding the right one can be a cumbersome task on your own!
The examples in this article utilize our web app available at app.propowerag.com. The same features are also available on our mobile app. Available on all iOS devices on the Apple App Store!

You will get herbicide solutions in seconds!
In this example, let's say that we have had good results with Engenia, however lets say that we can no longer use a Dicamba trait soybean like it, and need to explore other alternatives.
Let's also say that we mainly want to control barnyardgrass, kochia, waterhemp, thistle, and pigweed in our fields. After entering these requirements into the program, available alternatives are shown in an easy to read format!

The data shown reflects resistances setup under the account created for this article. Reported performance may vary in your application.
Anthem Maxx looks to be a great herbicide with pre and post emerge activity. But for our example, we find that it's not a great alternative because it has no activity on thistle. So lets say that we want to dive into Enlist Duo by Dow AgroSciences (now Corteva)!
By selecting Enlist in this comparison tool, we are redirected to the Enlist Duo page within the application.

Here we can see basic information like the use-rate, the active ingredients and their concentrations, and what varieties of crop it's available for (within our program). Reported performance specific to this chemical is also available on this page. Allowing you to view the effectiveness on a much broader scale than before.

Once you find the right herbicide for your needs, you can go forward with more confidence in your decisions that you are making the right choices for your fields! Otherwise, you can always go back to the drawing board and leverage Pro Power Ag's data tools to find one that checks all of your boxes!
